The Santa Fe Farmers’ Farmers’ Market Institute is always looking not only to add to and upgrade its inventory of equipment but also for people who want to become part of our volunteer community. Our wish list currently includes the following:
- Computer Equipment—we request that the equipment be three years old or less. Our needs include:
- Desktop computers running Windows 7, Vista or XP SP3 Professional
- Laptop computers (running Windows 7, Vista or XP SP3 Professional, or recent Mac)
- Flat screen monitors
- Printers (can be laser or ink jet, black and white or color as long as in good working order)
- Projection Screen
- Any size would be helpful, on a stand or to be hung from the wall.
- Scaffolding
- Up to 15 feet high would help us get to the upper reaches of the Market Hall!
- Five to Seven Day Stays in Exotic Locations
- We have both a raffle and a live auction every year, and we are seeking people who might want to donate five to seven day stays in their vacation homes or timeshares in nice parts of the world. Perhaps you also know of other amenities that could be included in the trip? These would become the grand prize for our raffle or be used in our live auction in the fall. - Able-Bodied Volunteers
- We need some volunteers who can help us set up the Market Hall for our movie series and put everything away the following day. The set up entails putting up pipe and drape and setting up chairs and usually takes about two hours to complete. Then after the movie is shown, we convene the next day to put everything away. We need people comfortable being on ladders, lifting and moving chairs around. Upcoming dates are March 16 and 17, April 20 and 21 and May 18 and 19. If you can help on one day, you get a free movie pass, if you can help both days (set up and take down), you get two movie passes.
